Our permit only allows for camping during the designated season from April 1st to October 31st. Therefore, staying in your camper during the offseason is not permitted. Anyone found residing in their camper during the offseason will have their lease terminated, and they will be required to remove their property from Merritt Beach. Due to our location within a floodplain, we do not have sewage hookups available directly at our park. However, we understand the importance of this amenity for our campers' convenience. Additionally, these vehicles must display reflective lot numbers and be in good working condition, including having lights. Operators of full-size ATVs, UTVs, and golf carts must be at least 16 years old, and helmets are required for riders under 16 while on Merritt Beach property. Please be mindful that these vehicles are not allowed on the beach or Beach Road, and any misuse may result removal of your golf cart or ATV from property and not allowed back. Please contact your insurance agent first to verify. However, to add Merritt Beach as an additional insured, it should go on the personal liability through your homeowner’s coverage. To add Merritt Beach as an additional insured, it should not cost anything additional, however your insurance company may have a small processing fee. The $500,000 per occurrence coverage should be on your camper and auto policy. Many times, you will see this at $250,000, however in Nebraska it needs to be $500,000. You will also need to carry insurance on your golf cart and ATV. We urge you to discuss this with your insurance agent.
