Yes, we do offer RV storage options at Merritt Beach. Off season storage is available for RVs with a signed lease for the upcoming season and a deposit received by the specified deadline. During the offseason, RVs must adhere to certain guidelines, including the removal of all propane from the site. Please contact our office for more information on RV storage availability, pricing, and policies.

We do not offer daily, weekly, or monthly spots at Merritt Beach. However, there are many great RV campsites around Omaha that do provide these options. We encourage you to explore other campgrounds in the area to find the accommodations that best suit your needs.

Yes, we do maintain a waiting list for individuals interested in securing a spot at Merritt Beach if our spots are all sold out from the season. Our waiting list allows us to keep track of availability and notify interested parties when a spot becomes available. If you would like to be added to our waiting list, please contact our office and provide your contact information. We'll be sure to reach out to you as soon as a spot becomes available. Lots are first come first serve, we cannot hold a lot without a deposit, so please look for an email from office@merrittbeachrvpark.com and respond as soon as possible.

To acquire a lot at Merritt Beach:

• Contact our office for availability. 
• Schedule a viewing with our Park Manager to explore available options. 
• Once you've chosen a lot, contact our office to confirm your lot, receive a lease specific to that pad site, along with payment requirements. 
• After signing the lot lease, you will need to set up an account with OPPD to activate your electricity.

Our permit only allows for camping during the designated season from April 1st to October 31st. Therefore, staying in your camper during the offseason is not permitted. Anyone found residing in their camper during the offseason will have their lease terminated, and they will be required to remove their property from Merritt Beach. Merritt Beach offers a variety of amenities to enhance your camping experience. These include:

Spacious RV lots with hookups for water, electricity (You must contact OPPD to set up electrical service. All sites have 30/50-amp service.)

Yes, there may be additional fees associated with setting up utilities during your stay at Merritt Beach. You will need to contact the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) to set up service for electricity. Their contact information is as follows: OPPD, 85 Main St. Louisville, NE 68037, phone number 402-234-2455. When contacting OPPD, please inform them that you are leasing a lot at Merritt Beach, providing the address of 20133 Beach Road, and your lot number. They will assist you in setting up electricity service for your lot. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to contact our office. We're here to help make your transition to Merritt Beach as smooth as possible.

Due to our location within a floodplain, we do not have sewage hookups available directly at our park. However, we understand the importance of this amenity for our campers' convenience. To ensure our guests have access to sewage services, we maintain a list of reputable vendors who provide sewage hookup services. These vendors are familiar with our park and can assist campers with their sewage needs during their stay for a small fee, average $25 per use. 

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer Wi-Fi services at our park. While it was initially proposed as an amenity, we encountered challenges that prevented us from getting it set up. We understand the importance of connectivity for our guests, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  We're glad to hear that our guests are able to stay connected using their cell phone hotspots via their providers. While we understand that having Wi-Fi directly available on-site would be convenient, we're pleased to know that our guests are finding alternative solutions that work for them.

However, we encourage campers to enjoy the opportunity to disconnect and immerse themselves in the natural beauty and recreational activities available at Merritt Beach.

No, subletting of lots is not allowed at Merritt Beach. Each lease is intended for the primary use of the lessee and their immediate family. Subletting or allowing someone else to use your lot without prior approval from management is prohibited. Deposits are non-refundable in accordance with our park's policies. Once a deposit has been submitted and applied towards reserving a lot, it is not eligible for refund, regardless of the circumstances leading to cancellation. Refunds are not available if guests do not stay for the entire season. Once a lease has been signed and payments have been made, they are non-refundable, regardless of the duration of stay. Yes, you are permitted to customize your lot with a deck, patio, shed, or fire pit at Merritt Beach. However, please note that any modifications or additions must be approved in writing by park management before construction begins. Additionally, these features must comply with size limitations and other guidelines outlined in our park's regulations. Yes, a maximum of 3 golf carts and/or ATVs are permitted at Merritt Beach. However, all leaseholders operating these vehicles must carry insurance, register with the park, and abide by our park's regulations regarding their usage. Additionally, these vehicles must display reflective lot numbers and be in good working condition, including having lights. Operators of full-size ATVs, UTVs, and golf carts must be at least 16 years old, and helmets are required for riders under 16 while on Merritt Beach property. Please be mindful that these vehicles are not allowed on the beach or Beach Road, and any misuse may result removal of your golf cart or ATV from property and not allowed back. No, the roads and lots at Merritt Beach are not paved. Our campground maintains a natural setting with gravel roads and grassy lots to preserve the rustic charm of the outdoor experience. While our roads are well-maintained for accessibility, we advise guests to drive cautiously and be mindful of uneven terrain. Please contact your insurance agent first to verify. However, to add Merritt Beach as an additional insured, it should go on the personal liability through your homeowner’s coverage. To add Merritt Beach as an additional insured, it should not cost anything additional, however your insurance company may have a small processing fee. The $500,000 per occurrence coverage should be on your camper and auto policy. Many times, you will see this at $250,000, however in Nebraska it needs to be $500,000. You will also need to carry insurance on your golf cart and ATV. We urge you to discuss this with your insurance agent.
